The meeting we held before establishing the Platform was called “Search.” It was organized in response to a need that emerged following the intervention against the CHP by the government-controlled judiciary. At the time of the meeting, Özgür Özel and his colleagues, who had been removed from their positions, had not established the New Party and appeared to be stalling the public regarding its formation. This situation provided clear evidence that we needed to continue our search even if a new party eventually emerged.
